application. This opportunity is only available to AGBU school faculty.
Important Information
Guidelines subject to change.
AGBU offers various categories of scholarships depending on location and field of study. Only students of Armenian descent who are enrolled in full-time degree programs for the entire academic year are eligible to apply, except in the case of the AGBU Helen C Evans Scholarship. This scholarship is available to both Armenian and non-Armenian students. Students may apply to one scholarship category per academic year.
Please note that AGBU Scholarship application deadlines will be strictly enforced. Applications submitted past these designated dates will not be accepted or considered. In order to submit an application, students must complete each section as instructed and upload all requested documents. No exceptions will be made.
Applicants from Armenia
Applicants who are citizens of Armenia qualify for AGBU Scholarships for study outside of Armenia. For the applicant's security, it is advised that a major portion of tuition and other expenses has already been secured through personal means, foundations, governmental and state grants, and/or the academic institution they are attending. We impose this rule to ensure that there is a good chance the
student will actually be able to study abroad. Please note, scholarships are not available to citizens of Armenia for local study in Armenia because AGBU already provides institutional support to many universities in Armenia.
Past Recipients / Renewals
Students who have received a scholarship from AGBU in the past and meet the eligibility requirements specific to the scholarship category of interest may apply for renewal by creating an online account (if prior to 2012) or logging into their existing account (created in 2012 and after). The system will distinguish between new and renewal applicants based on the answers provided to the questions in the
Eligibility section of the application.
Please note, for students who have received financial assistance
from AGBU in the past (either in the form of a grant or a loan), this history
is taken into consideration and counted toward the three (3) time award limit when determining eligibility for renewal.
Short Term Education
AGBU does not offer financial assistance in the form of scholarships or travel grants to those wishing to take part in a conference, a semester abroad, non-degree program courses, research studies, or any similar short-term educational or professional experience.
